Onbewust Verslaafd is a specialist training brand for NEI therapists who want to support clients with addiction and controlling behaviours by exploring the deeper patterns beneath them. Its approach views these behaviours as coping or regulation mechanisms, rather than problems to overcome through willpower alone. The training teaches therapists to investigate the role a behaviour plays, the emotions and unmet needs associated with it, and the protective beliefs and experiences that may sustain it.
Participants learn to work with the subconscious using a Biotensor, explore conscious and unconscious mindsets, and apply EFT tapping to help release emotional charge connected to patterns. The method may address themes including trauma, childhood experiences, family patterns, generational burdens and inner protective responses. It is intended for a range of concerns, including alcohol and drug use, eating issues, social media and phone use, relationships, work, shopping and control behaviour.
