On Brave Wings Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit created in memory of Sloane, who died at 18 months old from a rare, skull-based pediatric chordoma. The foundation focuses on raising awareness of pediatric chordoma, funding research, and supporting families affected by this rare childhood cancer. Pediatric chordomas are bone-based tumors that can be aggressive, and the organization works alongside the Chordoma Foundation to advance research toward treatment plans, targeted therapies, and drug testing intended to help children with the disease.
On Brave Wings also seeks to help families feel less alone during the challenges of a childhood cancer journey, inviting those affected by pediatric chordoma to get in touch. To support its mission, the foundation organizes in-person events and virtual fundraisers that bring people together to raise awareness and funds for research.
