Our mission is to disseminate knowledge in oncology and make it accessible to a wide range of individuals. This noble mission traces its roots back to the early 1990s when Prof. Dr. med. Hans-Joerg Senn envisioned advancing oncological science and sharing it with the broader public. As the former head of the Department of Oncology and Hematology at the Cantonal Hospital St.Gallen, Switzerland, he keenly recognized the pivotal role of excellent seminars and conferences in disseminating knowledge and research findings in oncology.

Welcome to St.Gallen Oncology Conferences, where our mission is to disseminate knowledge in oncology and make it accessible to a wide range of individuals. Founded by Prof. Dr. med. With a keen understanding of the pivotal role that excellent seminars and conferences play in disseminating knowledge and research findings in oncology, Prof. Dr. med. Hans-Joerg Senn established St.Gallen Oncology Conferences (SONK) with unwavering dedication.
SONK provides a vibrant platform for international experts to convene, share their expertise, and forge consensus on current recommendations for cancer diagnosis and treatment. A significant milestone in our journey was the establishment of the "St.Gallen International Breast Cancer Consensus Guidelines," which continue to guide the treatment of individuals diagnosed with breast cancer.
Over the years, SONK has flourished into a distinguished institution, hosting renowned conferences such as the St.Gallen International Breast Cancer Conference, International Symposium "Supportive Care in Cancer," and conferences on "Clinical- and Chemoprevention." Our regular conferences and seminars propel progress in the field of oncology.
In addition to our conference series, we are proud to support the German-speaking European School of Oncology (deso), offering crucial support to nurses and physicians in the German-speaking region and providing them with evidence-based practices in clinical oncology.
