The One Health Initiative is a movement promoting collaboration across human, animal, plant, and environmental health. It brings together physicians, veterinarians, nurses, dentists, public health professionals, scientists, and other related disciplines to address health challenges through an integrated approach. Its work emphasizes the connections between people, animals, and their shared environment, particularly in the surveillance, research, prevention, and control of zoonotic and emerging diseases.

The initiative’s website serves as an educational and information resource, offering news, publications, newsletters, journal links, outbreak reports, historical materials, and details about events such as One Health Day. It also shares information on topics including COVID-19, antimicrobial resistance, vaccines, and animal diseases that affect humans. The movement reports support from more than 114 national and international organizations and endorsements from over 1,200 scientists, physicians, and veterinarians worldwide. The One Health Initiative team operates independently as a group of private individuals and conducts its promotional activities on a pro bono basis, in collaborative public service with sponsorship from Public Health Vaccines LLC.
