About Oneida Nation
The Oneida Nation of Wisconsin is a resilient community with a rich history. Originally from upstate New York, the tribe relocated to Wisconsin after losing a significant portion of their original homelands. Established in 1838, the 65,400-acre Oneida Indian Reservation along Duck Creek became their new home.
Today, the tribe is governed by the Oneida Constitution, the General Tribal Council, the Oneida Business Committee, the Oneida Judiciary, and various Boards, Committees, and Commissions. The website provides comprehensive information about their government structure and traditional form of governance. The Oneida Nation values and supports its citizens, who extend beyond reservation boundaries to include 17,000 individuals worldwide.
The community offers a wide range of programs, services, and resources to empower its members and preserve the strength and determination of their ancestors. Additionally, the Oneida Nation plays a significant role in the local economy by generating hundreds of millions of dollars in economic impact in Brown and Outagamie Counties. The website also offers job opportunities, information on their retail enterprise, and details about their businesses and corporations.
