SENAPRED, the National Disaster Prevention and Response Service in Chile, aims to connect with children and adolescents to promote prevention and resilience from an early age. Recently, it launched a new Children's Collection focused on these themes during an event at the Municipal Theatre of La Florida, attended by key officials, including Executive Director Alicia Cebrián. The collection features educational materials designed around seven major hazards, including activity books, storybooks, and audiobooks, all featuring new institutional characters.
This initiative enhances SENAPRED's ongoing efforts to provide guidance and resources for youth, developed in collaboration with the Child Subsecretariat and the National Advisory Council for Children and Adolescents. SENAPRED also offers a dedicated website where families can access all these resources. Engaging activities, such as readings, games, and creative workshops, were part of the launch, underscoring the organization’s commitment to fostering a culture of prevention across communities in Chile for safer and more resilient environments.
