One More X is the personal fitness and content project of JL, a 43-year-old former tradie and business leader who describes himself as a “sub-par athlete.” After losing 30 kg through gradual lifestyle changes, JL took up running and completed a 100 km event in support of his late friend Jimmy Merrick’s family. Now he documents his journey as a beginner taking on races and fitness challenges, including HYROX and Paladin events, while aiming to grow his audience across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
The project shares short videos and longer race episodes covering training, preparation, results and the occasional setback. Visitors can watch JL’s progress, follow upcoming events and take part in “Guess my time” competitions. One More X also invites people to bring JL to a race, sport or fitness event, or join him for a five-kilometre run in their town.
