One TWU

One TWU is an independent community supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ students and alumni connected to Trinity Western University, alongside their allies. It has no formal affiliation with the university. Guided by its Christian faith, the organization affirms the dignity, equality, and full humanity of LGBTQIA2S+ people and opposes homophobia, transphobia, stigma, and discrimination. It advocates for people to live freely and safely, without shame, harm, or punishment, and promotes forms of Christian love grounded in acceptance rather than condemnation or conditional belonging.

One TWU seeks to help bridge divisions between the church and LGBTQIA2S+ communities through education, advocacy, and relationship-building. Its work includes community support, events, resources, past projects, alumni spotlights, and a blog. The organization also shares information about its leadership and invites people to connect through its contact channels. Its approach recognizes that people may disagree, while emphasizing respectful dialogue and care for one another. Through these activities, One TWU aims to foster understanding, reconciliation, and a more inclusive community for students, alumni, and allies.
