About One Water Race
One Water Race is an endurance racing brand that offers a thrilling and challenging experience for the absolute best endurance racers in the world. The concept of the race is straightforward: starting at Arholma in the north, the first team to reach Landsort in the south is crowned the winner. The race covers a distance of approximately 250 km, split into about 200 km of running and 50 km of swimming.
The route varies each year, making it impossible to plan in advance. Participating teams consist of three racers, with both sexes represented, and one support crew member. Each team is provided with its own safety boat and professional skipper, which serves as their headquarters during the race.
The teams must navigate through five stages, passing through unknown checkpoints along the way, while making strategic decisions based on weather conditions and terrain. To raise the bar in endurance racing, One Water Race offers a prize pool of $100,000, with the first-place team receiving $60,000. The race pushes participants to their limits, testing their physical and mental capabilities in running and swimming across challenging terrains and open seas.
