OneWhale is a non-profit organization in Norway dedicated to protecting the health and well-being of Hvaldimir, Norway's famous resident beluga whale. With a team of world-renowned whale researchers, scientists, and veterinarians, OneWhale aims to ensure that Hvaldimir leads a long, healthy, and safe life in Norway. To achieve this, OneWhale has partnered with NOAH for a long-term veterinary relationship and consulted the best whale veterinarians in the world.

To address public concerns surrounding Hvaldimir's presence at salmon farms and the unregulated tourist activity around him, OneWhale created the Team Hvaldimir Public Safety Program. This program educates the public and establishes a working relationship with salmon farms to provide a safe working environment, buffer tourism from the whale, and implement rules and regulations. The dedicated volunteers of Team Hvaldimir reduce Hvaldimir's time at salmon farms, create whale-free workspaces, and educate tourists about Norwegian laws and safe behavior around the whale.

Applying to OneWhale's Team Hvaldimir program allows individuals to become part of the dedicated team working towards protecting Hvaldimir and the public's safety.
