ONG-uri.ro is an independent public-data hub and directory for Romania’s nongovernmental sector. It brings together information about associations, foundations, federations, and unions, using official sources including the National NGO Register, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Finance, and ANAF. Visitors can search and filter organizations by county, legal form, and available public information, such as registration details, address, financial statements, employees, public contacts, website, and eligibility for the 3.5% tax designation.

The platform provides organization profiles, sector statistics, regional and organizational indexes, and practical guides explaining how to understand and verify NGO information. Its listings include a transparency score based on the availability of public data; the site emphasizes that this score measures data completeness, not an organization’s quality or impact. ONG-uri.ro also identifies data sources and update dates, helping users assess the coverage and limits of the information. Designed to make nonprofit information easier to explore and interpret, the directory supports research into Romania’s civil society through searchable records and clear explanations.
