Onigiri Action is an inspiring initiative aimed at combating hunger and promoting healthy eating habits across the globe through the simple act of sharing photos of onigiri, a traditional Japanese rice ball. Launched on October 4, 2023, this movement encourages individuals to post pictures of their onigiri to social media platforms like Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. For each photo shared, participating sponsor companies donate the equivalent of five school meals, worth 100 yen, to children in Africa and Asia via the certified NPO TABLE FOR TWO International.

Since its inception in 2015, Onigiri Action has successfully delivered approximately 8.36 million meals, thanks to the support and engagement of the community. The initiative not only addresses global food imbalances but also aims to raise awareness of obesity and malnutrition. It symbolizes a shared dining experience between developed countries and those facing hunger, emphasizing the belief that even small actions can lead to significant change.
