Ons Mooie Huis

Ons Mooie Huis is a small-scale residential care provider in Kockengen, offering a welcoming home for people with intellectual disabilities. The home has nine apartments, each with its own kitchenette and bathroom with a toilet and shower or bath, giving residents privacy and independence within a supportive community. Shared spaces include a kitchen for cooking and eating together and a living room for conversation, games, television and other social activities.

The organisation aims to provide a warm, safe and homelike environment where every resident is valued as an individual. Its staff tailor support to residents’ needs and wishes, combining personal care with companionship and opportunities to develop and be themselves. Residents can take part in outings and shared activities, with support from committed staff and enthusiastic volunteers. The home’s small scale helps foster close relationships between residents and caregivers, while the village setting offers access to local shops, a supermarket, a doctor and a pharmacy.
