Ontario Lacrosse is the provincial organization dedicated to promoting and developing lacrosse in Ontario. Founded in 1897, it supports community lacrosse and is the largest member of Lacrosse Canada. The association describes lacrosse as Canada’s National Summer Sport and connects players, coaches, officials, and leaders through resources for participation and development.
Its activities include supporting leagues and sectors, guiding athletes through their journey, offering coaching and officiating pathways and clinics, and organizing Team Ontario. Ontario Lacrosse also hosts the Ontario Lacrosse Festival, which it identifies as the world’s largest youth lacrosse event. The organization celebrates the sport and its community through news, events, awards, and Hall of Fame recognition, including an annual general meeting and Hall of Fame induction dinner.
Ontario Lacrosse works with partners that support amateur sport, team communication, and age-appropriate equipment. Through its website, the association shares rules, event information, opportunities, and updates with the lacrosse community.
