The Obi Ogbonnia Sickle Cell Foundation (OOSCF) is dedicated to transforming the lives of individuals affected by sickle cell disease (SCD) in Nigeria. Founded by Obi Ogbonnia, a resilient 51-year-old sickle cell warrior, the foundation addresses the stigma and challenges faced by patients through comprehensive programs and community outreach. OOSCF offers vital services, including free genetic counseling, emergency medical funds, and initiatives to raise awareness about sickle cell disease, aiming to improve healthcare access for underserved populations.

The foundation’s core programs encompass a Health Insurance Program, Digital Skills Literacy Program, Food Assurance Program, and Self-Care Awareness Program, each designed to empower individuals and provide essential support. Additionally, OOSCF engages in impactful partnerships through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, inviting organizations to help create a more inclusive healthcare landscape. With a strong commitment to advocacy, education, and advancing health equity, OOSCF is a beacon of hope for those impacted by sickle cell disease, fostering resilience and community support.
