OPAX (Open Parliamentary Accountability Exchange) is an independent, open-source Australian parliamentary research platform designed to make public records easier to explore and verify. It brings together parliamentary speeches, debates, recorded votes, political funding, declared interests, government contracts and grants, with links that help users trace information back to original sources. Visitors can search by person, organisation, topic, parliament, date or record type, and explore connections between donors and political parties through funding maps and records.

The platform also covers parliamentarians, electorates, parties, agencies, suppliers and campaigners, alongside reports on subjects such as housing, climate and energy, gambling, immigration, First Nations issues and media ownership. Interactive tools and guided research paths help users compare debates, follow policy over time and investigate claims. OPAX also explains its methods, source coverage, expense definitions, privacy practices and citation formats, supporting informed use of the data.

It is a research resource for people seeking to understand what Australian politicians say, do and disclose
