OPEIU Local 8 is a progressive and democratically run union that has been advocating for social and economic justice since 1945. With over 7,200 members across Washington state, Local 8 represents workers in various industries, including offices, health and home care, housing, social services, the insurance industry, legal services, and the public sector. The union's primary goal is to improve workplace conditions and secure equitable wages and benefits for its members.
