About Open
OPEN//77 is an independent community project that brings multiplayer experiences to Cyberpunk 2077 through community-run dedicated servers. Players can use its launcher and server browser to discover and join worlds with different rules and activities, including roleplay, racing, combat, survival, and freeroam. Server resources download automatically when players join, helping communities deliver their own experiences.
For creators, OPEN//77 provides dedicated server software for Windows and Linux, along with hosting guidance and tools to build and operate persistent worlds. Servers can feature custom rules, modifications, moderation, and gameplay designed for their communities. Developers can create resources in Lua 5.4, use documented game APIs, and build web-based interfaces with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The community Workshop offers scripts, game modes, maps, and interfaces to share.
OPEN//77 is currently in Alpha, so users should expect bugs, crashes, and API changes. Alpha access is requested through the project’s Discord. The platform requires a legitimate copy of Cyberpunk 2077, version 2.31 or later, and the Phantom Liberty DLC.
