OpenAIRE is a European research infrastructure that supports open science and scholarly communication through services, community networks, and connected research information. Its mission is to help make research more open, trusted, discoverable, and reusable, while contributing to the European Open Science Cloud and its federation.

OpenAIRE’s catalogue offers tools for researchers, institutions, funders, infrastructure providers, and research communities across the research lifecycle. Services enable users to discover and link publications, datasets, software, projects, and other outputs; connect repositories, journals, and research information systems; and monitor research activity and impact. Additional tools support FAIR data and software management plans, research gateways, usage metrics, organization identification, repository interoperability, overlay journals, and research data preservation. OpenAIRE also provides guidance, factsheets, FAQs, helpdesk support, webinars, bootcamps, e-learning, and tailored training through its network of National Open Access Desks.

With more than 15 years of activity, over 200 million linked research outputs, and more than 30 national nodes, OpenAIRE works with European and global partners to advance open access, data sharing, responsible research assessment, and community-driven infrastructure.
