openDesk is a modern and flexible office application suite designed specifically for the needs of public administration. Launched in the fall of 2024, openDesk provides essential tools for daily operations, including word processing, collaboration, file sharing, videoconferencing, chat, and project management. This comprehensive platform integrates various applications, allowing users to manage tasks, schedule appointments, and collaborate seamlessly—all from a single, user-friendly interface.

The suite emphasizes data sovereignty, security, and streamlined collaboration, providing resources such as Kanban boards, Gantt charts, and document editing features that support both individual and collaborative work. With the ability to organize knowledge in a central wiki, maintain contact directories, and utilize modern email functions, openDesk caters to a diverse range of administrative needs.

Developed by ZenDiS in collaboration with Germany's Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community, openDesk is a part of the initiative for a sovereign workplace, ensuring public institutions gain greater control and adaptability over their digital tools across all devices and browsers.
