Open Doors Southern Africa is a renowned brand dedicated to supporting persecuted Christians worldwide. With a humble beginning in 1955, our organization was founded by Andrew van der Bijl, also known as Brother Andrew, a young Dutch missionary who witnessed the desperate need for encouragement and Bibles in a Church behind the Iron Curtain. Over the years, Open Doors has grown into a global ministry, delivering Bibles and Christian literature to regions like China, Vietnam, Africa, and the Muslim World.

Under Brother Andrew's leadership, we have established an underground network of indigenous Christians, enabling the secret distribution of millions of Bibles annually. Our mission encompasses delivering spiritual and legal support to Christian prisoners, training pastors and church leaders, and providing economic relief to their families and the families of martyrs. We also offer resources to Southern African Christians for raising awareness and prayer for the persecuted Church worldwide.
