OpenGuides™ is a collaborative platform dedicated to creating free, community-maintained wiki guidebooks for locations around the globe. Emphasizing the value of shared knowledge, OpenGuides empowers anyone to contribute by writing or editing articles, ensuring a rich and diverse collection of guides. The project has evolved significantly, with its software engine allowing for enhanced features including mobile-friendly templates, custom macros, and improved metadata integration via RDF for Semantic Web compatibility.

The recently updated platform, now hosted on GitHub Pages, facilitates ongoing contributions, while the collaborative community extends invitations for new participants to create guides for their own towns or cities.
