About Open House Melbourne
Open House Melbourne is an independent not-for-profit organization dedicated to nurturing public appreciation for architecture and fostering engagement in conversations about the future of our cities. Through the popular Open House Weekend event, both in Melbourne and regionally, tens of thousands of people come together to celebrate architecture and the city. This organization also addresses important city topics through providing public talks, tours, and events to empower people with knowledge about the impact of good design decisions on our built environment.
Open House Melbourne is part of the Open House Worldwide Network, connecting Open House events in 60 cities around the world. The success of Open House Weekend is due to its approach of offering diverse, direct design experiences in an accessible and non-elitist manner. This organization is committed to ensuring that Victoria, and its capital city, remain a liveable and vibrant place now and into the future.
