OpenRider is a niche coaching programme initiated by Morag Campbell, using mindful motorcycle riding to help people develop confidence, skills and a greater sense of freedom. Its approach combines practical riding instruction with exercises in balance, breathing, awareness and movement, encouraging participants to connect mind, body and emotions and apply what they learn on and off the bike. The programme is informed by independent research and years of practice.
OpenRider offers individual and group coaching for beginners, returning riders and more experienced off-road motorcyclists. Courses cover foundational riding skills, slow-speed control, safety, bike mechanics and supervised practice, with opportunities to ride on paved surfaces and natural terrain. Level 1 and Level 2 off-road sessions include skills evaluation, personalized feedback and a coached group ride. Tailor-made courses and a womenβs-only platform are also available.
Training takes place on private grounds in a natural setting outside the city. Small motorcycles and basic equipment may be supplied for participants who are new to riding, and course times can be arranged midweek or on weekends. OpenRider is led by an internationally certified BMW off-road instructor and supports a welcoming motorbiking community.
