OpenSight

OpenSight is a Hampshire-based charity supporting people living with, or at risk of, vision impairment, as well as their families and professionals. Registered as the Hampshire Association for the Care of the Blind, the organisation aims to help people realise their potential, achieve personal goals and build independence. Its support is available to people of all ages across the county.

Services include information and advice, independent living assessments, support groups, and guidance on benefits and concessions. Through its TechSpert service, OpenSight also helps people explore smart technology and practical tools. Support for children, young people and families includes activities such as early-years music and sensory play. The charity offers referral options and resources for professionals and the wider community.

OpenSight brings people together through online and in-person events, including information sessions, technology advice and social activities. Individuals can access support, while others can contribute by volunteering, fundraising, attending events, donating or becoming a friend.
