About Open Source Brain
Open Source Brain (OSB) is a cloud-based resource that helps the neuroscience community share data, analysis techniques, software and computational models. Its goal is to support collaborative research and connect experimental findings with data-driven modeling, helping researchers explore neuronal function and improve the reuse and reproducibility of scientific work.
OSB links to publicly accessible neuroscience data and hosts community-shared repositories containing data and models from sources such as GitHub, Figshare and DANDI. Users can create persistent online workspaces to carry out and save research, keeping them private or sharing them with the community. Workspaces can be opened in supported applications, with analysis and visualization software available online and key libraries preinstalled.
The platform supports NetPyNE for developing, simulating and analyzing neuronal network models; NWB Explorer for interactively visualizing and analyzing experimental data in NWB format; and JupyterLab as a Python development environment. OSB also retains its earlier OSBv1 interface for visualizing and running NeuroML models.
