Open Star Goldens is a Golden Retriever breeder and dog-training business focused on raising dogs for therapy and service work, including support for neurodiverse children. The organization values the breed’s sound temperament, intelligence, natural drive, and eagerness to please—qualities that can help dogs stay focused while working around distractions. Its breeding program pairs dogs with therapy and service work in mind, and the business describes its Golden Retrievers as health tested, titled, and therapy certified.
Dogs also earn American Kennel Club titles in other events and sports, allowing their temperament, working drive, and breed qualities to be assessed before breeding. Open Star Goldens offers free consultations for people exploring a working dog for a home or facility, as well as puppies that may be placed in assistance roles. The team can begin training puppies and provides private lessons in person in Lehi, Utah, or online.
Training uses a positive, choice-based approach and can cover obedience, therapy work, service tasks, and other specialized needs
