OpenZiti is an open-source zero-trust networking platform that secures access to applications and services using identity rather than IP addresses. Its overlay network is designed to work across cloud, hybrid, and mobile environments, reducing reliance on traditional network boundaries, static IPs, and publicly exposed ports. OpenZiti provides three approaches: Zero Trust Application Access, which uses software development kits to build identity and end-to-end encryption into applications; Zero Trust Host Access, which secures existing applications through OpenZiti Tunnelers without code changes; and Zero Trust Network Access, which connects users and services through routers in trusted network zones.
