About OPERAS Research Infrastructure
OPERAS is a research infrastructure supporting open scholarly communication in the European Research Area, with a focus on the social sciences and humanities. It brings together organisations and researchers to strengthen collaboration and develop more open, inclusive and sustainable ways to share scholarly work. Its community includes members, national nodes, working groups and international partners, and its governance includes a General Assembly, Executive Assembly and Scientific Advisory Committee.
OPERAS supports publishing and discovery through services and initiatives related to open access books, research metrics, certification, multilingualism and research for society. Its work includes the OPERAS Service Portal, GoTriple, Hypotheses, the Open Access Books Network and the European Diamond Capacity Hub. The infrastructure also promotes open scholarly practices through advocacy, common standards, FAIR principles and its commitment to the Principles of Open Scholarly Infrastructure. Through projects, publications, events and community programmes, OPERAS connects expertise and helps advance open access and scholarly communication across disciplines and countries.
