Opholdsstedet Holmstrup is a residential care provider for children and young people who need support with personal development and life challenges. Based in the Vestsjælland area of Denmark, it operates three residential locations: Holmstrup in Nykøbing Sjælland, Blæsebjerggaard in Højby Sjælland, and Knagebjerggaard in Nørre Asmindrup. The service has space for six young people, aged 10 to 16 at the time of admission.
Care is tailored to each child’s individual action plan, needs, and strengths. The team aims to meet each young person where they are and provide social-pedagogical tools and resources that can support positive development, including when psychological difficulties are part of their circumstances. Residents are encouraged to take an active role in shared daily life and contribute to the community. The goal is to help them build social skills and move toward a more independent future. Holmstrup also provides information for parents and caseworkers, and describes support for transition and aftercare. Families and professionals can contact the organisation to discuss placements and available options.
