Opinel is a French knife brand founded in 1890, built on the belief that a well-made, practical tool should be accessible to everyone. Its knives are handmade in France, with a stated commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and sustainability across materials, manufacturing, and packaging.
The brand offers folding knives in carbon and stainless steel, including pocket, garden, utility, outdoor, and children’s models. Its wider range supports activities such as camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, cycling, and gardening. For the kitchen, Opinel sells chef’s knives, food-preparation sets, spreading knives, and children’s cooking sets; its tableware includes flatware and steak knives. Accessories include sharpening and maintenance products, storage, sheaths, cutting boards, linens, and gift cards.
Opinel also offers knife engraving, wedding gifts, and corporate and hospitality options. Through its online store, customers can browse collections, find retailers, and access knife-care information. Its products combine everyday utility with a long heritage of French craftsmanship.
