Opioid Training Solutions provides evidence-based online training to help public safety professionals respond effectively to opioid use disorder (OUD) and related challenges. Its programs serve police officers, sheriffs, corrections personnel, firefighters, EMS teams, paramedics, and other first responders. Developed with accredited university partners and experienced public safety professionals, the courses focus on practical strategies for crisis intervention, de-escalation, and connecting people with treatment and support.

Training is organized around the Crisis to CARE™ framework, which helps participants assess situations, communicate effectively, and respond with empathy and control. Courses also address co-occurring mental health conditions, legal and ethical responsibilities, and responder safety and wellness. Self-paced, four-hour online programs include interactive lessons, real-world video scenarios, expert-led modules, workbooks, reference materials, and completion certificates from university partners. Depending on the course and location, professional credits may be available.

Opioid Training Solutions works with departments to bring training to their teams and provides guidance on funding options, including opioid settlement funds, to help agencies explore ways to cover program costs.
