The majority of its workers are survivors of the Rana Plaza disaster. They are not treated as mere employees, but as owners of the factory. The profits made by Oporajeo are distributed equally among the workers, ensuring a fair and sustainable system.

Despite facing further adversity, such as a devastating fire in 2015, Oporajeo has emerged stronger than ever. Today, it is a well-established specialist manufacturer of jute products, with a workforce of 280 dedicated individuals.
