OpportunOT Kids

OpportunOT Kids Therapy provides mobile occupational therapy for children and families in the Illawarra region of New South Wales. Its services are delivered in home and community settings, allowing support to be tailored to each child’s and family’s individual needs and everyday context. The practice offers occupational therapy consultations and training, working collaboratively with parents, carers, educators and teachers to support the people in a child’s life. Where further information is needed to guide support, OpportunOT Kids Therapy may also conduct informal and/or standardised assessments and prepare reports.

The practice describes its approach as neurodiversity-affirming and grounded in authenticity, autonomy, growth and connection. It aims to create a judgement-free space where children can express themselves, respect each child’s and family’s choices, and encourage independence and confidence. Collaboration, safety, belonging and trusted therapeutic relationships are central to its work, alongside playful and meaningful interactions. Through therapy, guidance and shared learning, OpportunOT Kids Therapy seeks to empower children, families and the communities around them.
