The Piedmont Chapter of the Old Peoples Riding Club (OPRC) is an equestrian club based in Culpeper County, Virginia. Welcoming riders from all disciplines, the chapter brings members together to learn, ride, and build lasting memories, with an emphasis on participation rather than ribbons or competition. Its activities include mounted lessons, clinics, group trail rides, rallies, and social gatherings, along with opportunities for equestrian education.
Weather permitting, mounted lessons are scheduled on the second Sunday of each month; winter sessions take place in an indoor arena. Instruction may cover dressage, ground poles, jumping, and obstacles. Members can also join a musical ride, an informal quadrille-style activity held monthly at Woodruff Shires’ indoor arena.
The chapter’s annual Summer Camp is a popular three-day weekend event at Penmerryl Farm in Greenville, Virginia, and has been held since 2006. Other events include the Cavaletti Cavalcade and the OPRC National Rally. Through its varied riding and social activities, the Piedmont Chapter offers a welcoming community for equestrians
