Optifilter International Ltd develops and sells Optimum-Filter cigarettes, featuring its specially designed OF Filter. The business grew from Optifilter Research R&D Ltd, founded in 2014 to develop intellectual property for novel cigarette-filter additives. According to the company, these additives are incorporated into filters to provide biological protection against ingredients in tobacco smoke. The research and development phase concluded in 2020, and manufacturing and trading of the Optimum-Filter brand began in mid-2021.
Optimum-Filter products include American blend cigarettes with a dual filter, presented as offering a genuine tobacco experience. The listed capsule format is Super Slim, measuring 97 mm, with a flatpack and square-corner design; each pack contains 20 cigarettes. The filter-development work drew contributions from scientific experts with biological research backgrounds and professionals with tobacco-industry expertise. The company also provides information about its development through a case study and reports, and lists duty-free partners and product availability, including Gebr. Heinemann and Tad Duty Free LLC at Dushanbe International Airport.
