Optimum Doula

Optimum Doula is the practice of Kathryn Stutely, a birth and postnatal doula based in North Wiltshire. She supports perinatal families through pregnancy, labour, birth and the early weeks with a calm, reassuring presence, practical and emotional care, and information to help parents make informed choices. Birth support includes helping families prepare for their new arrival and work towards their desired birth experience; postnatal care can also include signposting to other services.

Alongside doula care, Kathryn runs Optimum Bumps, a free antenatal support group, and North Wiltshire HomeBirthers, a homebirth support group. She offers safer sleep and starting solids workshops, breastfeeding counselling and support groups, plus maternity and nursing bra fitting. As a qualified babywearing consultant, she operates the Swindon and Devizes Sling Library. Families can also hire TENS machines and birth pools.
