Közép-Budai Önkéntes Polgári Védelmi Egyesület, also known as Közép, is an officially registered non-profit volunteer rescue, civil protection, and educational association in Hungary. Established in 2004, Közép is dedicated to reducing the vulnerability of the civilian population during disasters in close collaboration with the country's official disaster management and law enforcement forces. With over 120 volunteers, Közép is one of the leading volunteer civil protection teams in Hungary and a founding member of the Budapest Rescue Union.

The association holds official certificates in various areas, including flood defense, urban search and rescue, volunteer fire fighting, and technical rescue, among others. Közép also provides certified courses and training to other organizations, ensuring proper theoretical education and practical expertise. Committed to international collaboration, Közép is an affiliate member of the International Civil Defence Organization and a full member of EVOLSAR and FEMERAID.
