About Oqni
Oqni is an Armenian-based NGO that was founded by a team of Diasporan Armenians across various countries including the US, Canada, France, UK, Germany, and Armenia. Their mission is to provide advanced mental health solutions and bionics to empower the amputee community. They take a holistic approach, focusing on both psychological and physical empowerment, while also training and educating students, veterans, and amputees to create a public good.
Oqni's initiative grew out of the necessity caused by the recent war in 2020, which resulted in a high number of amputees, a lack of modern technology, neglect of mental health, and limited funds. Their team consists of experts in various fields such as psychology, engineering, AI data science, physiotherapy, and more. They offer prosthetic covers that protect and beautify prosthetic limbs, helping to break the stigma around them.
Oqni is looking for an Industrial 3D designer to create innovative designs for prosthetic covers. Applicants with an educational background in Engineering or Industrial Design, experience with 3D design and printing, and a readiness to work in an innovative space are encouraged to apply.
