Commune d'Orbe

The Commune of Orbe is the municipal administration serving residents and businesses in Orbe, a dynamic town in French-speaking Switzerland. Its website brings together information about local life, public services, administrative procedures, community initiatives and current events. Residents can access guidance on registering a move, identity documents, permits, taxes, construction applications, waste collection, water services, parking and use of public spaces. The commune also provides information about its municipal authorities, elections, budgets, regulations, public projects and job opportunities.

Orbe supports a broad range of community and cultural activities, including its library, youth services, local associations, sports and cultural programmes, and events such as the carnival, Christmas market and weekly market. The site highlights local attractions, walking routes, exhibitions, accommodation and leisure facilities, alongside practical information on health, housing, childcare, mobility and social support. Sustainability is another focus, with energy and renovation subsidies, the “Orbe rénove” programme, environmental projects and sustainable mobility initiatives.
