Orcfax is a decentralized Cardano oracle that serves as a trustworthy link between real-world facts and trustless Cardano smart contracts. As an oracle, Orcfax publishes data about the real world to blockchain smart contracts, ensuring transparency and reliability. Orcfax will launch with free price feeds on Cardano Mainnet in Q2 2023 and implements the open-source Cardano Open Oracle Protocol (COOP).

This platform provides Cardano developers with well-structured tools and schemas to consume trustworthy off-chain data in their smart contracts. By completely decentralizing data collection and validation in a permissionless manner, Orcfax ensures the highest level of security. Every interaction through Orcfax is stored in a permanent repository built on the Arweave decentralized storage network, maintaining a comprehensive audit log of data flow.

The Orcfax platform also includes a Cardano-native utility token called $FACT. This token facilitates payments for premium access to feeds and is utilized for staking and rewards by data collectors and validators in decentralized oracle pools. $FACT can be exchanged on the open market and can be accessed through two methods: participation in the FAX ISPO (Initial Stake Pool Offering) or participating in $FACT liquidity pools which will be available on Cardano DEXes in Q3 2023.
