Orchardville

Orchardville is a Northern Ireland charity that supports people with learning disabilities and autism to live, learn and work. Its mission is to help individuals reach their potential, pursue employment aspirations and participate actively in their communities. The organisation takes a person-centred approach, tailoring support to each person and working with families, schools, social workers and local employers.

Its services include employment support, with job coaching, on-the-job assistance, work placements and training for businesses seeking to support neurodiverse staff. Practical skills training covers vocational areas such as hospitality, retail and administration, alongside travel, communication and social skills, and confidence building. Orchardville also offers community-based day opportunities, including group activities, sports, arts, volunteering and development of independent living skills such as safety, nutrition and wellbeing. Transition support helps young people prepare for life after school, particularly in the Belfast and South Eastern Trust areas.

Through programmes including Community Connections, Orchardville Grows, Workable (NI), SkillSET, Tap2, NextSteps and social clubs, the charity aims to create opportunities for learning, employment and connection.
