About AO
Agent Orchestrator (AO) is a free, open-source tool for coordinating multiple AI coding agents across software projects. Licensed under Apache 2. 0, it helps developers run agents in parallel without losing track of branches, pull requests, reviews, or CI failures.
Developers describe a desired outcome to a project’s main agent, which plans the work and assigns tasks to workers in separate Git worktrees. AO organizes sessions on a board, showing which tasks are in progress, need attention, are under review, or are ready to merge. It also routes failed checks and review comments back to the agent responsible for the branch, helping resolve issues through approval.
AO supports 25 agent harnesses, including Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, Aider, and Goose, with agent selection available by project. Its mobile companion pairs with a desktop over LAN or Tailscale, allowing users to monitor sessions, open a terminal, and receive notifications while code execution stays on their machine. AO is available to download, with installation instructions, documentation, community resources, and a GitHub project
