About ORCI
Ocean Road Cancer Institute (ORCI) is Tanzania's leading comprehensive facility dedicated to cancer care. Established in June 1996 under Act number 2 of Parliament, ORCI is a semi-autonomous institute directly under the Ministry of Health. Serving over 50,000 patients annually, including 28,000 cancer patients, ORCI provides a range of services such as laboratory, diagnostic imaging, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, palliative care, cancer screening, and HIV/AIDS care.
Committed to excellence, ORCI offers inpatient and outpatient services to private patients, NHIF beneficiaries, and international clients. The institute's mission is to provide high-quality, accessible, and affordable cancer control services through prevention, diagnosis, treatment, research, and training.
