Orden

The Deutsche Ordensobernkonferenz (DOK) is the association and information portal for religious communities in Germany. Its website introduces the DOK’s history, structure, leadership, mission and activities, while offering an overview of the country’s religious orders and their work. The portal explains religious life and the spiritual, pastoral, educational, charitable and missionary roles of communities. It also provides practical resources, including statistics on men’s and women’s orders, directories of abbreviations, publications, and a spiritual map for visiting monasteries.

The DOK supports member communities through services and initiatives covering formation, data protection, mediation, financial assistance and support for missionaries. Its programmes include the Voluntary Religious Year, RUACH education for religious, and resources on ageing communities. The site shares news, events, press releases, podcasts, blogs and articles on topics such as vocation, culture, refugees, environmental concerns and safeguarding. It also provides information on addressing sexualized violence against minors and historical abuse in residential care, including contact points, support for affected people and prevention.
