About OrderPaper
OrderPaper is Nigeria's leading independent parliamentary monitoring organization and policy think tank. They serve as a bridge between the people and parliament by providing simple and authoritative parliamentary data. Their mission is to empower citizens to take action and enable informed decision-making by public and private entities.
OrderPaper was officially launched on September 26, 2016, at a prestigious event in Abuja, Nigeria, attended by political elites and senior government officials. Despite facing targeting and reprisals from powerful interests, their niche reportage of parliament and commitment to legislative accountability have been acknowledged and commended by leaders and members of the National Assembly. To fulfill their mandate of bridging the gap between citizens and parliament, OrderPaper has created the Leg'ACEs program and the OPEN Community.
These initiatives aim to engage citizens and promote accountability from legislators. OrderPaper also plays a crucial role in various partnerships and networks, including serving as the Secretariat for the Nigeria Network of Parliamentary Monitoring Organizations and being a member of the African Parliamentary Press Network. They are actively involved in the implementation of the National Action Plan of the Open Government Partnership in Nigeria.
