ONMCI

The National Order of Physicians of Côte d’Ivoire (ONMCI) is a professional institution established by law in 1960 and governed by legislation updated in 2021. As a private-law body entrusted with a public-service mission, it regulates the ethical conduct of the medical profession and works to protect patients and the physician-patient relationship. Its national council coordinates the institution’s activities, represents it to public authorities, and upholds professional ethics, while regional councils serve physicians across the country.
