About ORHF
Oregon Rail Heritage (ORHC) is dedicated to the preservation, operation, and public enjoyment of Portland's historic locomotives, railroad equipment, and artifacts. They also aim to educate the public about Oregon's rich and diverse railroad history. Located on a 2.
75-acre site, ORHC houses three historic steam locomotives, a variety of vintage passenger cars, diesel locomotives, and other rolling stock. They also have a 100' turntable, which will soon be installed in front of the center, allowing for operational use and even locomotive rides. The facility includes a machine shop, bays for machining equipment and painting, offices, a conference room, and a public viewing area.
ORHC's traditional design captures the history and essence of the railroad industry. The center is easily accessible by public transit, including light rail, streetcars, and buses. Donations, volunteers, and memberships are welcome to support this important organization's work in preserving Oregon's railroad heritage for future generations
