Orient & Méditerranée, officially established as UMR 8167, is a prominent Mixed Research Unit dedicated to the historical, philological, and religious studies of the Near East and the Mediterranean. This collaborative effort involves prestigious institutions including the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), Sorbonne Université, and more, uniting six diverse research teams focused on topics ranging from pharaonic worlds and classical antiquity to medieval Islam and Greek medicine.
