FCOC

The Federació de Curses d’Orientació de Catalunya (FCOC) is the federation for orienteering in Catalonia, promoting the sport of thinking and running and supporting participants, clubs and teams across the region. Orienteering is a timed activity in which competitors use a detailed map and compass to find checkpoints in the correct order, choosing their own route through natural or urban terrain. The federation provides information on competitions, calendars, registrations, rankings, results and regulations, and supports permanent courses and mapping.

Its programmes include introductory and specialist courses, technical training, children’s camps and stages, as well as guidance on federation membership, licences, prices and insurance. FCOC also coordinates Catalan selections and technical development groups for disciplines including foot orienteering, mountain bike orienteering, rogaine and raid, and supports school competition. Clubs can access resources and practical information for organising activities.
